A jewel in the Italian Alps, the Dolomites need no introduction. A UNESCO world heritage site thanks to its landscape made of towering rocks. Three mountain groups stand out – the Marmolada (3,343m), the Sella massif (3,151m) and the Catinaccio (2,981m). Val di Fassa is the gateway to these giants, one of the few valleys where Ladin is still spoken. At first, riding among these mountains may look intimidating, but the local crew of trail builders managed to find the right lines so that it never gets too crazy.
